Moving on.

Journal Entry: Fri Aug 28, 2009, 1:44 PM
I've been having an issue lately with my drawing style. I believe that I'm trying too hard to make my art something that it isn't, and its slowing down my progress. so from now on, I'm just going to experiment with other things, maybe become a bit more simplified and cartoony. I really want to stay in the boundaries of simplification, I love it so much I know that's where I belong. The only problem with it is that it's hard as hell.

Commissions are still going on if you'd like have one. $10 for a full body sketch and $5 for a bust; just note me and I'll give you details.

I finally have time to begin the art trade with the lovely :iconmelzmelz: she did hers a while ago:

now I'm starting mine sorry for the wait MELZ! its coming.

I've been thinking about making a comic about the feeling one person gets when their significant no longer loves them. Its been going through my head, but I don't know if I really want to follow through with it. The idea is buzzing furiously in my head and its getting sort of annoying. maybe I'll start and see how far I get.

Its almost impossible to critique on this site.

Why do people open themselves to critique if they don't want the cold hard facts. I had a bad situation that turned good in the long run, but still.. it didn't need to happen. I was even accused of genre bashing, which I didn't do. plus, my work has a strong anime influence and I'm a fan. Being truthful and helpful sometimes, backfires in your face. especially on DA, where there are too many people requesting critique and not knowing what it consists of.

On a lighter note, I'm currently working some new stuff that has a whole new technique. i think that it fits my style a lot more than what I'm trying to do currently so we'll see what happens.
